Our Story
The Story Behind
the Name
A Singapore jewellery house born from a love of craft, colour, and connection.
Designs by Racquel began the way most meaningful things do — quietly, and between people who trusted each other. Racquel started creating jewellery for close friends and family, drawn to the intimacy of crafting something that would be worn every day, carried through milestones, and eventually passed down.
What began as a personal practice grew, gently, into a boutique. Word spread not through advertising but through the pieces themselves — the ring worn to a wedding, the pendant recognised at a family dinner, the jade bangle that prompted a question at a coffee counter. Each piece became a small ambassador.
“I never wanted to make jewellery for display cases. I wanted to make things people would actually wear.”
Today, Designs by Racquel is a Singapore institution for those who want jewellery that is personal, considered, and genuinely well-made. We specialise in two disciplines that reward patience and skill: jade, and bespoke fine jewellery.
Our clients come to us at all stages of life — for engagement rings and wedding bands, for anniversary surprises and birthday gifts, for jade pieces to mark a new chapter or honour a loved one. Each commission is handled directly and with care.
“Every piece we create carries the intention of the moment it was made for.”
Singapore Craft
Made here, worn everywhere
Singapore has a long tradition of fine goldsmithing, shaped by the cultures that have made this island home. We work within that tradition — with local artisans who understand both classical technique and the tastes of a contemporary Singapore clientele. Our workshop produces pieces that meet international standards while remaining grounded in this place.
Jade Heritage
Jade as a living material
Jade has been treasured across Chinese, Burmese, and Southeast Asian cultures for millennia — not merely for its beauty but for what it is believed to carry. We source our jade personally from markets in Myanmar, selecting each piece for its colour depth, translucency, and feel. No two pieces are alike, and that is exactly the point.
